The hotel's location was perfect, right next to the finish line and convenient for shopping, dining, beach walking, and club gatherings. The rooms were small and a bit claustrophobic due to their size, but what made the hotel ideal was its central location. The dining experience left a lot to be desired with limited options available but the hotel offered tours/ticket assistance which was a plus.

The hotel's prime location right next to the finish line and amidst everything was its best feature. Great for gym-goers and those looking for overnight parking garages and restaurant suggestions.

5.8/10
The hotel had both positives and negatives. The rooms were quite basic with no closet, dresser drawers, or ironing board, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. Climbing 4 flights of stairs to reach our room was a downside. On the bright side, the location was convenient for exploring the village, and being within walking distance to see the sea lions was a unique experience. While the rooms may have been lacking, the service stood out with wonderful staff making up for any room-related flaws. Dining options were limited and disappointing, but the overall value for money was acceptable.

My stay was a bit of a mixed bag. The hotel was in a convenient location close to the town and beach, but there were a few issues with the room. The service was lacking at times, and the dining experience left much to be desired. However, the beautiful ocean view from the balcony was a highlight.
Rooms
5.0
The room had one window facing restaurants across the road and a corridor with other guests passing by, and there was a terrible smell. The security was concerning with a poorly locking door and a noticeable gap.
Service
5.0
The service was subpar with bored and unhelpful staff. They seemed ignorant at times and even provided a room that didn't meet the booking specifications. Smoking near the entrance wasn't pleasant.
Location
7.0
The location was great, with easy walking access to the town and beach. The 'Ocean View' was fantastic from the balcony, but being near the finish line had its drawbacks. Some caveats are essential for future travelers.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was unsatisfactory. Breakfast was only available until 10 am, and the quality was subpar. Limited options left us wanting more.
Facilities
The hotel had some essential facilities, but nothing particularly noteworthy.

7.4/10
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were clean and very nice, offering a view of the ocean, but they weren't super soundproof. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but there were some instances of issues being shrugged off. The location was convenient, right in La Jolla Village, close to various attractions, but parking was pricey if located a bit farther away. The dining experience had its flaws, especially with limited options, but the overall stay was pleasant.
Rooms
8.0
I found the rooms to be cleaner than most hotels, and being able to enjoy a view of the ocean from my room in La Jolla Village was a definite plus. The only downside was that they weren't the most soundproof, which could be a bit of a bother.
Service
7.0
The service at the hotel was a mix. While the staff, in general, were all friendly and kind, there were a few instances where issues were dismissed rather casually, which could have been handled better.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was quite convenient, being within walking distance of many places in the village and right in the middle of everything. It made exploring the area easy, although parking a bit farther away came at an extra cost.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience left something to be desired. The breakfast options were limited, and the quality wasn't the best. However, I did appreciate that dining was available until around 10 am, which was convenient for a last-minute meal before checking out.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities at the hotel were sufficient for a comfortable stay. While there were some rooms a little tight on space, everything was modern and well-maintained.
